Bea Salazar Learning Center

Campus History

Named in honor of Bea Salazar, the school is an alternative education school. Ms. Salazar founded the non-profit organization Bea’s Kids in June 1990. She has been recognized on the state and national levels for her volunteer services.

Welcome to Bea Salazar Learning Center

CFBISD established the Bea Salazar  Learning Center to serve as the District’s disciplinary alternative education program as required by the Texas Education code. Appropriate conduct is essential to helping each child benefit from his or her enrollment at Salazar.

Our mission is to provide a highly structured, restorative campus for all students. 

 

Philosophy

The Bea Salazar Learning Center is designed to offer CFB students an alternative setting in which to make positive changes in their behavior and ultimately return to their home campus. The program is based on the belief that students can learn to achieve goals in a manner that maintains dignity and respect for themselves and others.
